We will escape from Gudauri’s resort crowds ski tour virgin slopes with backcountry runs exceeding 1,300 vertical meters from top to bottom. During your guided ski tour, you have an experience to see something many skiers never will. Our professional local mountain guides will lead you through the most breathtaking landscapes Gudauri has, where we will chase the best deep powder snow all day long. You should have good off piste and freeriding ski skills. You should also be efficient in skiing through multiple types of snow terrain. (Deep powder, heavy snow, crusty snow). You should have ample ski touring experience and be efficient using ski touring equipment.
You should have a great level of fitness. We will be ski touring up to 7 hours a day with 700 -800m of climbing per day.
This itinerary is designed for intermediate to advance ski touring groups. However, we can design an itinerary for all skill levels. Please contact us and we will be happy to customize your trip.
Arrival day. Arrival to Tbilisi International Airport where you will be picked by our driver. You will reach your hotel in Gudauri which will take about 2 hours of driving. Check in and enjoy the town of Gudauri for the night.

First day of skiing. After breakfast you will meet your IFMGA/GMGA guide and have a briefing about the day ahead. If you need any rental equipment, your guide will assist you.
We will make several runs on this day, using mostly lifts and skinning about 30 minutes to 90 minutes in total. We’ll enjoy the North side of Mt. Sadzele and West side of Mt. Bidara, with thrilling long runs off-piste down to a local road, where our driver will transport us back to Gudauri. Expect to ski about 3,500m vertical drops in total this day. Rest for the night in hotel.

This day will be the first full ski tour day, with an exciting culture tour ahead. First we’ll drive to village Mleta, a small village close to Gudauri. From here we’ll start our ascent on Mt.Lomisa, where we’ll meet an ancient 9th century Monastery on the top. Monks will be happy to share stories of this historical place while they offer you hot tea. We’ll run a 800m vertical drop and take another similar tour up, through a majestic pine forest. Enjoy our last run of the day and drive back to Gudauri.

We’ll drive about 20 minutes from Gudauri in the morning. Starting our climb, we’ll see the incredible landscapes of Mt. Dedaena. After reaching the saddle at 3,200m, we will take a moment to enjoy the wild horizons of the Caucausian range and see the mighty peak of Mt. Kazbegi in the distance. After an exhilarating 900m run down to the road, our driver will meet us and drive us back to Gudauri to rest for the night.

On day 6 we will drive towards the beautiful Kazbegi region, just a 45 minute drive from Gudauri. We’ll reach Sioni, a small local village, and start our ascent at 2,000. We’ll climb up to 3,200m on the Narvani ridge and view the spectacular Sno Valley below. Our ski down of 1000m will be on the Northern exposed slopes, where the snow conditions are almost always favorable. After our ski we can visit the town of Kazbegi and explore this remarkable area. Transfer back to Gudauri

Check out of hotel. The driver will take us on the river side of Aragvi River and at 1650m we’ll skin up to the summit of Mt. Miketi until 2920m. Here we’ll be able to view the entire Gudauri area, and the marshmallow peaks surrounding it. This ski will be a thrilling 1,300m vertical drop, making for an epic last day of ski touring in Georgia. We’ll drive to get our belongings in the hotel and drive to Tbilisi. Check in to Tbilisi hotel.
