The Alpine Project is built around a team of highly qualified mountain professionals, including GMGA and IFMGA-certified Mountain and Ski Guides, professional athletes, climbers, ski mountaineers, and experienced ski and snowboard instructors. Our team includes some of Georgia’s most accomplished mountain professionals, with extensive experience across the Caucasus, Karakoram, Himalayas, Tian Shan, Pamir, Alps and other major mountain ranges. Our guides have been involved in challenging climbs, first ascents and pioneering ski descents across the Caucasus, while several team members have received major international recognition, including the Piolet d’Or, one of the world’s most prestigious mountaineering awards, awarded for the first ascent of Saraghrar Northwest (7,300 m) in Pakistan.
Deeply connected to Georgia’s mountaineering and climbing community, several of our guides are members of the Georgian Mountain Guides Association (GMGA) expert team, contributing to the training and development of future IFMGA guides in Georgia. Our qualifications include IFMGA and GMGA certifications in mountain and ski guiding, as well as BASI certifications among our ski and snowboard instructors. Beyond certifications, our greatest strength is the experience behind them — years spent leading expeditions, opening new routes, exploring demanding terrain and developing an intimate knowledge of the Caucasus. This combination of internationally recognized qualifications, high-level achievements and first-hand experience allows us to offer guests professional guiding and an authentic connection to the mountains of Georgia.
