Welcome to The Alpine Project! These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for using our services. By booking with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.
Once you’ve decided on the course or activity you wish to book, please contact The Alpine Project via email or visit us in person to confirm the details. We will discuss the booking and payment options to finalize your reservation.
Payments can be made by cash, credit card, or bank transfer. Please note that The Alpine Project does not accept cheques.
A contract between you and The Alpine Project will be established once all the details have been agreed upon, you have read and accepted our Terms and Conditions, and a 30% deposit of the total price has been made.
To confirm your booking, a deposit of 30% of the total price is required at the time of booking (or full payment if the course or activity commences within 4 weeks).
The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the start date of the course or activity. If the balance or full payment is not received by this deadline, and unless a delayed payment has been agreed upon, The Alpine Project reserves the right to cancel your booking and impose the applicable cancellation charges as outlined below.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing or via email to The Alpine Project and will be effective upon receipt. The following cancellation charges apply (as a percentage of the total price of the course or activity):
No amendments can be made within 60 days of the course or activity start date unless otherwise agreed with The Alpine Project.
The Alpine Project reserves the right to cancel any course if there are insufficient participants. Should your booked course be cancelled, you will receive 30 days’ notice and the opportunity to reschedule at no extra charge. A full refund will be issued if other course dates are unsuitable
If you choose to terminate a course or activity for any reason during its progression, you will not be entitled to any refund.
The Alpine Project and our mountain guides reserve the right to modify the location, objective, route, or activity if we determine that following the planned itinerary would pose an undue risk to you, other group members, or the guides due to adverse weather, conditions, or the ability level of participants. This policy applies to all courses and activities.
The Alpine Project is not liable for any disruptions caused by strikes, industrial actions, illness, government interventions, weather conditions, lift or hut closures, or other unforeseen events that may impact a course or activity.
Private guiding will proceed regardless of weather conditions. It is the responsibility of the guides to adjust the program accordingly to make the best use of time. If, after mutual agreement between you and the guide, the decision is made to cancel the activity, and the guide agrees to forgo payment, you will be refunded the guide’s fee
Courses and training days will also run regardless of weather conditions. The guide will adapt the program as necessary to maximize the experience. If the guide assesses that your skills or technique are not suitable for the course or activity, the venue may be changed following discussions with you and other group members. No refund will be provided in such cases.
Participation in activities organized by The Alpine Project, including but not limited to skiing, climbing, mountaineering, and trekking, involves inherent risks. These activities occur in dynamic, sometimes hazardous environments where conditions can change unexpectedly and unforeseen challenges may arise. While we prioritize safety and offer professional guidance, it is important to acknowledge that no outdoor activity is completely free of risk.
By proceeding with your booking, you accept that these risks may include, but are not limited to, personal injury, accidents, exposure to severe weather, equipment malfunctions, and natural hazards such as avalanches, rockfalls, or icefalls. You assume full responsibility for understanding the nature of the activities and the risks involved.
All bookings are made with the understanding that participants will strictly follow the safety instructions provided by The Alpine Project staff or guides. Should you choose to disregard their guidance, you do so at your own risk.
The Alpine Project reserves the right to exclude any participant who is deemed unprepared or unfit for an activity. If a participant’s involvement poses a potential risk to themselves, other guests, or the guide, they will be unable to continue. No refunds will be provided in cases where participants are excluded on these grounds.
It is essential that all participants have appropriate insurance coverage before joining any activity with The Alpine Project. Outdoor adventure activities, such as skiing, climbing, mountaineering, and trekking, take place in challenging environments where unexpected incidents may occur, despite safety measures. Comprehensive insurance is necessary to protect you from unforeseen events such as accidents, injuries, illness, or even the need for emergency evacuation, including helicopter rescue if required. Your insurance should also cover potential trip cancellations, delays, lost or damaged equipment, and medical expenses incurred during the activity.
We strongly recommend that your insurance policy covers high-altitude activities, off-piste skiing, mountaineering, and any other specialized risks related to the specific activities you plan to undertake. Additionally, your policy should provide personal liability coverage in case of injury to others or damage to property. It is your responsibility to ensure that your insurance is adequate and valid for the region and type of activities involved, as The Alpine Project does not provide personal insurance and cannot be held responsible for any costs arising from inadequate or missing coverage.
All participants must be in good health and physically prepared for the activities they wish to undertake with The Alpine Project. If any group member has dietary restrictions, medical conditions, or specific health concerns, it is crucial to communicate this information to us prior to the activity. This ensures that we can make necessary accommodations and ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved. Additionally, participants are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate equipment and clothing suitable for the conditions and requirements of their chosen courses and activities. This includes high-quality outdoor gear, appropriate layers, and safety equipment as recommended by our guides. Being well-equipped and aware of personal health needs contributes to a safer and more enjoyable experience for all.
If you have a complaint, please inform a member of The Alpine Project staff or your guide as soon as possible. This allows us the opportunity to address and resolve the issue promptly
